When the Self Feeding Fireplace Cradle Grate is in a raised position (shown in the picture to the left) the high side is 13 1/2" high. The lower side is 6 1/2" high. This exposes more direct heat and the beauty of the fire toward the room.

When the Self Feeding Fireplace Cradle Grate is in the cradled position (shown in the picture to the left) the highest point of the grate is 9" high. The lower point of the grate is 3 1/2" (2 1/4" to bolt) at the center of the grate. This position allows for a low maintenance fire as gravity will naturally feed the fire.
